Mumbai: In a Fit of Rage, Son Kills Father Over Money for Drinks
Palghar: A son killed his father during a fit of rage after the father asked for more money to buy alcohol. This tragic event took place on Wednesday afternoon in Aswalipada, a village in Borsheti near the Nagzhari Barhanpur. The victim has been identified as Mukund Gorakhna. As per information provided by the victim’s wife and daughter, the victim returned home after working in the rice fields behind the house around noon on Monday and asked the accused Suresh for money to buy alcohol. However, when Suresh only gave him ten rupees, Laxman became angry and began to verbally abuse his son, also expressing his dissatisfaction about Suresh not caring for his parents during the Diwali festival.
In a fit of anger, Suresh attacked his father, strangling him with a rope that was used for tying rice bundles. Laxman was taken to the rural hospital in Manora in an unconscious state, but unfortunately, the medical staff pronounced him dead. Following this incident, a case has been registered at the Manora police station.
