Mumbai Local Train Fight Turns Violent: Women Pull Hair, Slap, and Push Each Other; Video Goes Viral
Mumbai, June 20 — A shocking video from a Mumbai local train has gone viral on social media, showing a violent altercation between two women in the ladies’ special compartment on the Western Line. The incident took place on a train travelling from Churchgate to Virar.
In the two-minute clip, recorded by a fellow passenger, one woman is seen standing in the train corridor with blood visible on her head, engaged in a heated argument. Moments later, the situation escalates into a physical fight, with both women pulling each other’s hair, punching, and hurling abuses.
Other commuters are heard trying to intervene, repeatedly shouting “Chhodo, chhodo” (leave her), as the scuffle turns chaotic. One woman is seen shutting the compartment gate, apparently to avoid any further mishap or someone falling off the moving train.
While fights over seats and space are not uncommon on crowded suburban trains, the level of violence in this case has raised serious concerns. The exact cause of the dispute remains unknown, but the incident left one of the women visibly injured and bleeding.
Authorities are yet to confirm whether any official complaint has been lodged.
