Narhe : Pune Police, NHAI urges motorists to avoid driving on neutral gear near Navale bridge

Pune Police and National Highway Authority India (NHAI) installed digital sign boards on Pune Bengaluru highway near Navale bridge, after a series of accidents took place near Narhe, SwamiNarayan Temple.  These digital signboards display information urging motorists to avoid driving by keeping the vehicle in neutral gear. These digital signboards are displayed in various languages. The Pune traffic police is also taking action against vehicles through the interceptor vehicles.   

A new vehicle check post was inaugurated near the new Katraj tunnel on the Mumbai-Bangalore National Highway to prevent accidents recently. 

District Officer Dr Rajesh Deshmukh has assured to implement various measures in the area to achieve zero accidents status. The check post was inaugurated by Pune Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar and Pune district Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh. 

Officials present at the inauguration were Additional Commissioner of Police Pravin Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar Magar, NHAI project manager Sanjay Kadam, General Manager of Reliance Amit Bhatia, Assistant Commissioner of Police Maula Syed, Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumhar, and Assistant Police Inspector Prashant Kanse.
