Navale Bridge : Sule urged state govt to provide assistance to affected people

Pune: A major accident occurred late last night on the Pune-Bangalore national highway near the Navale Bridge, close to the Swami Narayan Mandir. Four people lost their lives and several others were injured in the accident.

The state government is being urged to provide immediate assistance to the families of the deceased and injured, as the medical expenses are likely to be substantial. Supriya Sule, the local MP, has called on the government to show empathy and take prompt action.

On Sunday morning MP Sule visited the accident spot and hospital and requested the government to provide all necessary help and assistance for the victims.

Speaking to reporters at the accident site, Sule said , “It was revealed that a truck collided with a private bus, resulting in the deaths and injuries. The injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. The injured people and their families are also in dire need of support, and have appealed to the government to provide assistance.

Sule told that she will soon meet Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss the frequent accidents issue in this particular stretch to find a solution and to take necessary steps to prevent such accidents in the future. The issue will also be raised in Parliament to ensure that all departments work towards finding a solution, Sule added.

The incident has highlighted the need for better road safety measures, and it is hoped that the state government will take appropriate action to ensure the safety of its citizens.
