NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) Candidate Jayesh Murkute Files Nomination from Ward 9, Baner–Balewadi Area

Baner: Jayesh Murkute, a young OBC leader from the Baner–Balewadi–Sus–Pashan area, has officially entered the race for the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) General Election 2025–26. Representing the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), Murkute filed his nomination today as a candidate from Ward No. 9(B).

The nomination was completed in the presence of his uncle, Ashok Bapu Murkute, alongside party workers and supporters. The event marked a significant step in Murkute’s political career as he contests a key urban ward in western Pune.
Speaking after the filing, Murkute stated that the trust shown in him by the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) is a responsibility he intends to honour with sincere work and commitment. He reiterated his dedication to the overall development of Ward 9(B) and the city of Pune.

Murkute also expressed gratitude to residents and supporters, noting that the love and cooperation he has received over the years have been a source of strength. He expressed confidence that this support would continue as he reaches out to voters with his vision for local development, better civic facilities, and inclusive growth.

The announcement has generated positive reactions among party workers in Baner, Balewadi, Sus, and Pashan, who view his candidature as an opportunity to strengthen grassroots representation in the PMC.
