Neco Sky Park Society Hosts ‘Cyclathon for Kids’ to Promote Eco-Friendly Cycling in Vishal Nagar, Pune
Pune, February 2, 2025 – Neco Sky Park Society, known for its commitment to eco-friendly initiatives, organized a Cyclathon for Kids to promote environmental awareness and healthy living. The event took place on the smooth cycle track in Vishal Nagar, Pimple Nilakh, Pune and saw enthusiastic participation from young cyclists.
A total of 61 children, aged 6 to 16 years, took part in the event. They were divided into nine groups, each led by an adult supervisor, while 84 volunteers from the society ensured smooth coordination and disciplined navigation throughout the ride.
The Cyclathon commenced at 7:00 a.m., following all traffic regulations. The route covered key locations, including Jupiter Hospital, Baner, and Rakshak Chowk, before reaching Shaheed Ashok Kamte Smart Garden at 8:30 a.m. The 14-kilometer journey included three rest stops where children could hydrate and regain energy. Upon reaching the final stop, a breakfast session was arranged, managed efficiently by the women of the society, who played a crucial role in the event’s success.
The event saw strong support from senior citizens and parents, making it a grand celebration for the community with over 160 participants. Through this initiative, children learned about the importance of exercise, the role of cycling in reducing pollution, and the significance of following traffic rules.
Distinguished guests at the event included Mr. Tushar Kamte, Ex-Corporator of Vishal Nagar, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Shuhaib M.P. from Baner as the Special Guest. Their presence further encouraged the young participants and reinforced the message of sustainability and fitness.
The Neco Fitness Cyclathon for Kids was yet another successful initiative by the residents of Neco Sky Park Society, fostering community engagement and environmental consciousness.
