NEET UG 2025: NTA Announces Key Updates for Medical and Allied Courses Admissions
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made an important announcement regarding the NEET UG 2025 examination. The agency clarified that the scores achieved in NEET UG 2025 will serve as the basis for admissions to BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science), and AH (Ayurveda and Homeopathy) programs, alongside existing MBBS admissions.
According to the official notification, NEET UG 2025 will remain the gateway examination for undergraduate medical courses in premier institutions like AIIMS New Delhi, JIPMER, and other government medical colleges across India.
“In continuation of the Public Notice dated 16 January 2025 on the mode of conduct of NEET (UG)-2025, it is clarified that, in addition to the courses mentioned earlier, NEET (UG)-2025 scores and merit lists will also apply for admissions to BDS and BVSc & AH courses as per the respective regulatory bodies’ guidelines,” stated the NTA.
Key Details of NEET UG 2025
- Exam Format: The NEET UG 2025 examination will be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode, on a single day and in one shift.
- Aadhar Linkage: Candidates must ensure their phone numbers are linked to their Aadhar accounts for seamless OTP verification. Furthermore, Aadhar details should match the information provided in their Class 10 marksheet or passing certificate.
- Official Updates: Comprehensive details about the examination will be published on the official website neet.nta.nic.in when the application form is released.
