Neverever Memorial At Gateway Of India To Pay Tribute To 26/11 Martyrs And Survivors
Mumbai, November 25, 2025: Mumbai will host a solemn memorial and pledge ceremony themed “Neverever” at the Gateway of India tomorrow, organised by NSG Mumbai to honour the martyrs, survivors, and all victims of the 26/11 terror attacks. The event serves as a reminder of the city’s collective resolve that such an incident must never recur.
A dedicated memorial zone will display photographs and names of the fallen heroes. Floral tributes, candles, and a concept-based “Living Memorial”, created from the wax of homage candles, will be preserved for future commemorations. This symbolic gesture aims to keep the memories of the victims alive.
Students from 11 colleges and 26 schools across Mumbai will participate in pledge-taking activities under the “Neverever” theme, reinforcing youth commitment to peace, vigilance, and national security.
Citizens at the Gateway of India will have the opportunity to take the pledge at a dedicated booth and write messages to martyrs and survivors in a specially arranged corner. The programme will also include the felicitation of survivors and families of martyrs.
Curated audio-visual segments will narrate the bravery of security personnel and ordinary citizens during the attacks, creating an immersive tribute to courage and resilience.
As night falls, the Gateway of India will be illuminated in the tricolour, with the word “Neverever” prominently displayed, symbolising Mumbai’s enduring courage, unity, and determination to prevent such tragedies in the future.
