New Mobile App To Aid Faster Traffic Complaint Redressal In Pune Soon
In a joint effort to address mounting traffic and safety concerns in the Undri-Mohamadwadi area, Pune Pulse and the Mohamadwadi Undri Residents Welfare Development Foundation organized a meeting with Additional Commissioner of Police, Pune Manoj Patil. The interaction took place on May 18 at the Nyati Ethos Clubhouse, drawing active participation from concerned citizens.

Residents raised a range of pressing issues including noise pollution caused by bullet motorcycle riders, illegal parking by nearby schools and wedding halls, inadequate police patrolling, noise disturbance during festivals, and the menace of heavy vehicles such as dumpers, water tankers, and ready-mix concrete trucks operating during peak hours. There was also a demand for increased patrolling or additional deployment of police staff at Kalepadal Police Station and Undri Police Chowky.
Responding to the concerns, Additional CP Patil announced the upcoming launch of a dedicated mobile application aimed at improving complaint redressal mechanisms. The app, he said, would streamline the process for citizens to report issues and allow the police to respond more swiftly. Alongside this, an Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) is also being developed to reduce congestion and enhance enforcement while easing the burden on field staff.

Patil emphasized the importance of community participation, urging residents to not only highlight issues but also suggest solutions. “A collective approach will help us resolve issues faster and ensure better quality of life for all,” he stated.
The event also featured a successful blood donation drive where 30 residents volunteered, contributing towards a noble cause and setting an example of community involvement. It was organised in association with Ruby Hall Clinic.

Overall, the meeting served as a platform for constructive dialogue and marked a significant step towards addressing long-standing civic challenges in the region.
