New streetlights to be installed from Jagdamba Bhavan to Undri chowk

It was after persistent follow up by the residents of Undri that the Pune Municipal Corporation took up the work of installing new streetlights. Dr Ashwin Khilare, founder president of Undri Association said, “Streetlight work is in progress from Pisoli chowk (Jagdamba bhawan road) to Undri chowk (Kanade Honda).”

Khilare further said, ‘I had raised the demand for new streetlights on the PMC portal and consistent follow up was taken.’

An official from the Kondhwa Yewalewadi ward office said, ‘Over 50 electric poles of 8 meter octagonal size with double arms shall be installed on this stretch of the road. The streetlights shall be installed only where there are road dividers. The project costs around Rs 15-16 lakhs. ‘
