Siddharth Shirole, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Shivajinagar constituency has informed that from January 15 (Monday), the new traffic flow pattern at Pune University Road will be implemented on a trial basis where he will assess the traffic flow.

As per further information from the X handle of MLA Siddharth Shirole “The new traffic flow pattern at University Road will be implemented on a trial basis from Monday (15/01) as part of our ongoing efforts to alleviate traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours at University Junction. Following our meetings with stakeholders, the Pune Traffic Police officials and I visited the junction to assess the upcoming trial of the new traffic flow.”

Informing about the traffic changes, Shirole further added in the tweet “Changes include opening the road from University Chowk to Baner Road (previously closed) and dedicating a lane for smooth traffic flow from University Road to Pashan. A new traffic signal at the Nexa Showroom junction after Abhimanshree Society will regulate traffic from Pashan to University Road and from University Chowk to Baner Road. Personally, along with police officials, I will be present at the University Junction on Monday (11:00 AM) to review the flow and gauge public response to the altered traffic pattern.”
