NH7 Weekender Returns To Pune With Electrifying Lineup
The 15th edition of NH7 Weekender is set to transform Teerth Fields in Sus, Pune, into a musical paradise on December 14-15. This year’s festival promises an unforgettable experience with an eclectic mix of over 30 artists, featuring both international sensations and homegrown talents.
British sensation Jorja Smith will headline the event, bringing her soulful voice and poignant lyricism to the stage. The Grammy winner will perform tracks from her latest album, “Falling or Flying,” ensuring a captivating performance that will resonate with music lovers.
Adding to the international flair, Asterism and Oliver Cronin will make their India debut at the festival. Asterism, a three-piece instrumental heavy metal band, will showcase their new genre “Mass Metal,” while DJ Craze, known for his work on Kanye West’s tours, will perform for the first time in India.
The Indian music scene will be represented by National Award winner Amit Trivedi, known for his genre-defying Bollywood compositions and innovative musical experiments. Multi-instrumentalist Youngr, with over 100 million global streams, adds to the festival’s diverse programming.
Indian music legends Usha Uthup and Rapper Raftaar will also take center stage, bringing their unique styles to the festival. Uthup, a Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan recipient, will showcase her multilingual pop excellence, while Raftaar will add contemporary flair with his distinctive Indian hip-hop style.
Amit Trivedi expressed his excitement about performing at the festival, while speaking with media person he stated that, “My first live performance was at NH7 Weekender in 2014. My journey from then to now with the festival is nothing short of exhilarating.”
Raftaar also shared his enthusiasm, stating while talking to media that, “I am ecstatic to debut at NH7 Weekender! Having been present at the festival over the years as an attendee and also to support my friends, I am looking forward to finally performing at the happiest music festival.”
Tej Brar, head of festivals at Nodwin Gaming, emphasized the festival’s commitment to diversity, he told media that, “NH7 Weekender has always been a genre-agnostic festival. As we approach our programme each year, we want to ensure that there is something for everyone.”
