Nigdi police registers an FIR for illuminating trees without license
One individual has been charged at the Nigdi police station for lighting trees from November 4 to November 17 outside the bungalow.
The owner of Brij Bhawan bungalow in the Nigdi area has faced legal consequences for illuminating the tree without a proper license. The bungalow owner was alerted about the violation and also asked to remove the lights.
Assistant Garden Superintendent, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Rajesh Vasave, filed a complaint at Nigdi police station. Accused Sanjay Tiwari has been charged for violating Section 3 and Section 15 of the Maharashtra Environment Protection Act, 1986.
As per the information provided, the Municipal corporation has received a complaint from the environment activist regarding citizens illuminating private and government trees without a license.
As per the information received, if authorities fail to take action in such cases environment activists have warned of lodging a complaint with the police. Later, the civic body filed an FIR against the owner of the bungalow in Nigdi.
