NSE Introduces 4 New Indices Including Nifty Tata Group 25% Cap, Check detail.

NSE will introduce four new indices starting April 8, available in both the cash and derivatives segments. These are: Nifty Tata Group 25% Cap, Nifty 500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20, Nifty 500 Multicap Infrastructure 50:30:20, and Nifty MidSmall Healthcare.

The Nifty Tata Group 25% Cap Index comprises 10 companies and is constructed using the free float market capitalization method. These indices have a base date of April 01, 2005, with a base value set at 1000.

The Nifty 500 Multicap India Manufacturing 50:30:20 Index aims to mirror the performance of selected large cap, mid cap, and small cap stocks from the Nifty 500 index that represent the manufacturing theme. The allocation of stocks is determined by their free-float market capitalization, with 50% allotted to large caps, 30% to mid caps, and 20% to small caps.

Similarly, the Nifty 500 Multicap Infrastructure 50:30:20 Index endeavors to reflect the performance of chosen large cap, mid cap, and small cap stocks from the Nifty 500 index that represent the infrastructure theme. The weightage of stocks is based on their free-float market capitalization, with 50% allocated to large caps, 30% to mid caps, and 20% to small caps.

Lastly, the Nifty MidSmall Healthcare Index will track the performance of midcap and small cap stocks within the healthcare sector. This index includes up to 30 stocks, with the weights of individual stocks determined by their free-float market capitalization.
