Ohio-Based Vertiv Boosts Global Presence with New Engineering Center in Pune, Generating 1,000 Jobs
Vertiv, a digital infrastructure solutions provider based in Ohio, announced that it is expanding its integrated business services center in Pune to meet the growing global demand for data centers. This expansion will create 1,000 new engineering positions.
The center will focus on driving innovation in areas such as power, thermal management, IT systems, infrastructure solutions, and software, delivering these advancements from India to various regions worldwide.
According to a company statement, “The new Pune center strengthens the company’s global presence, creating over 1,000 engineering roles and offering opportunities for India’s skilled professionals. Beyond direct employment, the center is expected to stimulate indirect job opportunities through collaborations with local suppliers, vendors, and service providers, underscoring the brand’s commitment to driving economic growth and innovation.”
Currently, Vertiv employs over 2,000 people across India, operating more than 40 offices and three manufacturing facilities located in Ambernath, Chakan, and Pune.
As India plays a significant role in the rapidly growing data center sector, this new facility is expected to create job opportunities for skilled local talent by recruiting engineers and support staff. It will also empower the next generation to actively participate in the industry’s development, according to Subhasis Majumdar, Managing Director of Vertiv India.
