OnePlus has announced the launch of multiple new devices, including the Nord 4, at its ‘summer’ event in Italy on July 16.

OnePlus is set to debut a range of new devices at its “summer” event in Italy on July 16. The upcoming launches include the Nord 4 smartphone, Pad 2 tablet, Nord Buds 3 Pro wireless earbuds, and the Watch 2R smartwatch. This launch targets global markets, including India.

The Nord 4 stands out as the “first all-metal smartphone of the 5G era,” according to OnePlus, marking a return to the metal-bodied design last seen with the OnePlus 5T in 2017. The company describes the metal design as a “symbol of design excellence” that was set aside with the rise of 5G.

Unlike previous models, the Nord 4 is not a rebranded version of a Chinese model. Leaked images reveal a dual-tone finish of glass and metal, with horizontally aligned dual cameras. The Nord 4 will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,150 nits of peak brightness. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 processor and equipped with a 5,500mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging.

The phone is expected to run Android 14, offering three years of major OS updates and four years of security updates. Camera specs include a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, alongside a 16-megapixel front camera.

The OnePlus Pad 2 is anticipated to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad Pro, currently exclusive to China. The Watch 2R is expected to be the global variant of the OnePlus Watch 2 eSIM edition, aiming to provide a lightweight and efficient smartwatch experience.

In terms of pricing, rumours suggest that the OnePlus Nord 4 could be priced below ₹30,000 in India, making it a competitive option in the mid-range segment. The Nord 4 will feature an alarm slider and an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance, differentiating it from its predecessors. The expected price of the Nord 4 is around ₹31-32,000, but launch offers might bring it down under ₹30,000.

The OnePlus Nord 4 will be a significant release for the company, aiming to offer a high-quality, feature-rich smartphone at an attractive price point.
