Open Post Covid care clinics in Pune

For the last one and half year, the entire world has been gripped by the deadly virus. The first wave and second wave has taken a severe toll on our health. Lakhs of people have been affected due to the virus and many succumbed to death too. There have been many who fought against the virus and have completely recovered from it. But in the past two months Mucormycosis (black, yellow and white fungus) have caused more harm to people’s health. Covid19 has damaged our health to a great extent and time has come to open Post Covid care clinics for people who have recovered from Covid19. 

Aba Bagul, a senior Congress leader has appealed to the Pune Municipal Corporation to set up such clinics for post Covid care. 

These clinics should be open not just in the civic run Hospitals but also in private hospitals. Since most of the patients were at high risk higher doses of steroids were given which further led to blood clots, brain related issues, heart problems, black fungus, etc.  

Bagul further stated that though across the globe there has been research undergoing for the causes of these post Covid symptoms, we should immediately establish such clinics provide ample care for people who have suffered from Covid19. He recently submitted a letter to the Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vikram Kumar.
