The thirty-first Vande Bharat train is currently ready at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. It is set to become the first semi-high-speed express train in the country with an orange color scheme. The unveiling of the orange Vande Bharat train is expected to take place at the Chennai production unit on August 19th. Currently, there are 25 Vande Bharat trains in operation across the country, and four more trains are ready to begin service this month.

Additionally, two more Vande Bharat trains are in the advanced stages of manufacturing, with the thirty-first train being produced according to the new color code. The design of the train is inspired by the Indian national flag, featuring a saffron color with green stripes on the doors and body. The front portion of the driver cabin will have a prominent display of saffron  to enhance its aesthetic appeal.

The exact destination for the orange Vande Bharat train has yet to be determined. However, four Vande Bharat trains, including two from Chennai and one each from Patna and Bangalore, are expected to be flagged off this month. These trains will consist of eight coaches each. The Indian Railways has utilized Rs 1,343.72 crore for the manufacture of Vande Bharat trains.

These trains, being the first indigenously designed and manufactured semi-high-speed trains in India, offer passengers a modern and comfortable travel experience. With their high speed, enhanced safety standards, and world-class service, the Vande Bharat trains are a hallmark of excellence.

Equipped with automatic doors, the Vande Bharat trains have faster acceleration and can reach speeds of up to 160 kmph. The trains also offer improved riding comfort with ergonomic seating, including reclining seats and revolving seats in the executive class. Each seat is equipped with a mobile charging socket, and the train includes a mini pantry with hot case, bottle cooler, deep freezer, and hot water boiler. Additionally, there are emergency windows, fire extinguishers, and CCTVs in each coach for passenger safety.
