Over 30 properties to be auctioned by PMC for non-payment of property tax arrears
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to auction 32 properties in Pune as they haven’t paid their property tax arrears.
As per further information shared by Ajit Deshmukh, Deputy Commissioner, PMC Tax Department, the following are the complete details of the 32 properties to be auctioned:

Here are the terms & conditions for the auction:
1) Since the said auction process is online, candidates who are interested to participate in the auction process should register on the website https://eauction.gov.in.
2) The auction value of the property as is in any case by the Government Assessor shall not be less than the assessment taken.
3) Candidates who are willing to participate in the auction process should pay 1% earnest money of the assessed amount of property separately for each of the above-mentioned properties for which they want to bid in the form of DD to the Municipal Corporation during office hours which is to be deposited on 31/01/2024 by 4:00 PM in the name of the said DD ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR OF TAXES, PMC. The said DD should be paid by the interested candidates at Bank of Maharashtra, PMC Building, Shivajinagar branch and the challan should be obtained from the Taxation and Tax Collection Office. After depositing the challan in the bank, the interested bidder has to submit the original copy of the challan along with the attested shadow copy of PAN card, and Aadhaar card to administrative officer No. 1, taxation and tax collection office, Pune Municipal Corporation, main building.
Thereafter, the interested bidders will be qualified online for bidding during the period from February 1 to February 4.
4) Before the auction process, if the property holder deposits the entire amount of tax due along with the related auction process expenses (two separate DDs) with the Municipal Corporation, such property will be excluded from the said auction process.
5) The winning (successful) bidder shall pay 20% of the bid amount to the Pune Municipal Corporation within two working days from the date of auction. It will be necessary to deposit as per the procedure mentioned in point no 3.
6) A period of 15 days will be given to the original property holder from the date of holding the auction. If the original property holder deposits the entire amount including the auction process expenses with the Municipal Corporation in two separate DDs within the said period, the amount deposited by him to the Municipal Corporation as per the above will be returned to the bidder taking the auction and the name of such property holder (property) will be excluded from the said auction process.
7) If the original property holder does not pay the arrears of tax as per above, the bidder taking the auction will be required to deposit the remaining amount (80%) of the bid amount to the Pune Municipal Corporation by DD within the aforementioned 15 days of the auction.
8) After paying the entire bid amount to the municipal corporation by the bidder taking the auction, the said purchase-sale certificate will be issued by the Municipal Commissioner. Thereafter, the process of registration with the Registrar’s office as well as transfer of name on the property tax bid has to be done by the bidder at his own expense.
9) Any right, interest of the original owner of the said property will not be there after the completion of the auction process.
10) Financial interests of any person, organization and others regarding the proceeds of the said auction, if any, should be reported in writing to the Taxation and Tax Collection Office, Pune Municipal Corporation, Municipal Corporation Main Building, Shivajinagar, Pune-411005 along with appropriate documents before the auction process. Any objections/suggestions after the date of the auction will not be entertained.
11) Carrying out or stopping the above auction process at any stage, accepting or rejecting the auction etc rights are reserved by the PMC Commissioner.
