Pune: At the annual grand tribal fair, Bhimthadi Jatra, which begins on Thursday (December 21), over 300 stalls featuring artisans and small businesses from all over the state will be on display. This will be the fair’s 17th edition, with stalls featuring handlooms, textiles, home decor, and lifestyle products.

A senior member associated with the Jatra said that people these days are so busy that they hardly ever have time to make pickles, papads, or spices—all of which will be available at the Bhimthadi Jatra (Fair), according to a senior member of the Bhimthadi Jatra.

He further added that the food area, which has over 90 stalls this year, is a well-liked feature of the fair. Many traditional foods are disappearing from people’s plates in large cities.

Many of the foods offered at the Bhimthadi fair evoke nostalgia in guests and are, as a result, highly well-liked. Over the course of three days, organizers anticipate about 1,50,000 visitors.

According to the fair organizer, the participating vendors have changed as the exhibition has progressed over time. The products were excellent when the fair first started, but there was a lack of marketing and packaging expertise.

Vendors are now using technology for marketing, and packaging techniques have improved over time.

The organizer went on to say that wheelchairs will also be available at the fair. They will no longer sell water in plastic bottles, supporting their efforts to be more environmentally conscious and sustainable. Instead, they will offer filtered water in recyclable and reusable cups.
