Enchanting Nativity Play Unveils Magic of Christmas at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Nativity Plays are both a rewarding and enjoyable experience for young children as well as adults.

With Christmas just around the corner, St. PATRICKS CATHEDRAL is presenting a heartwarming Nativity Play titled Emmanuel- God is with us, 

It promises to captivate audiences of all ages bringing to life the timeless story of the birth of Jesus in a spellbinding and festive celebration.

Pune Pulse spoke to Hyacinth Dcosta, a parishioners of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Pune, who informed us that a wonderful talented cast of approx 40 nos of all ages from 0 to 85 years, will perform Nativity Play and it showcases the dedication and creativity of The Neocatechumenal Way of St Patrick’s Cathedral. 

The production is all set to transport attendees to Bethlehem, where the miraculous events surrounding the first Christmas unfold with a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.

This family-friendly event is open to the public.

Though, Nativity have evolved over time, the core Christmas story has remained the same and the main parts you may expect to find in a traditional nativity play include: 

• The Angel Gabriel

• The star

• Jesus

• Mary

• Joseph

• The Inn Keeper

• Shepherds

• Three wise men 

• King Herod 

• The animals – donkeys, sheep, ox, goats etc.
