Amul India, renowned for its witty advertisements, has once again displayed its creative prowess by crafting a humorous tribute to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix original web series, ‘Heeramandi’. 

In the advertisement, the iconic characters from the series are depicted enjoying bread and Amul butter, adding a touch of whimsy to the promotional campaign. Featuring prominent actors such as Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, the advertisement cleverly integrates elements of the show’s storyline with Amul’s signature humour. 

The tagline, “For every Hirayan,” adds a playful twist to the advertisement, further enhancing its appeal. Netflix, acknowledging the tribute, expressed gratitude to Amul for the creative homage, cautioning viewers, “Do not consume dairy while watching Heeramandi.” Manisha Koirala, one of the stars of the series, extended her appreciation to Amul with a heartfelt message, while Sonakshi Sinha also shared the advertisement on her Instagram story. 

Bhansali Productions joined in the praise for Amul’s innovative advertisement. ‘Heeramandi’, set in pre-independence Lahore, explores the dynamics of love, politics, and betrayal amidst the world of courtesans and nawabs. Since its release on May 1, the series has garnered widespread acclaim, emerging as the most-watched web series on Netflix within its debut week. 

Its popularity extends beyond India, resonating with audiences in foreign countries as well. Through its quirky advertisement, Amul India celebrates the success and allure of ‘Heeramandi’, adding a delightful twist to its promotional endeavours.
