Palkhi in Pune : PMPML to ply more buses for devotees to Alandi and Dehu

On the occasion of the Saint Shree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Jagadguru Shri Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is making special transport arrangements for numerous devotees from Pune city/suburbs and across the state.

From June 8, 2023, to June 12, 2023, existing buses and surplus buses from various locations including Swargate, Ma.Na.Pa., Hadapsar, Pune Station, Nigdi, Bhosari, Hinjewadi, and Chinchwad will be facilitated for the convenience of devotees and citizens. A total of 142 extra buses will be plying daily during this period.

As of June 11, 2023, buses have been arranged for Alandi, and for Dehu, a total of 30 buses from Pune Station, M.N.P., Nigdi, have been provided by the Corporation. Additionally, 12 buses from Dehu to Alandi have been allocated.

On June 12, 2023, the Palkhi will depart from Alandi at 2:30 AM. To facilitate transportation to Alandi, 18 more buses have been arranged from Swargate, Pune Station, Hadapsar, and M.N.P.

Regular buses will also be operating from 5:30 AM onwards from the bus stations in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area. A total of 113 buses on the regular route from Alandi to Bhosari and Vishrantwadi will serve the devotees. Additional buses will be provided based on passenger demand, with a minimum requirement of 40 passengers.

During the Palkhi departure from Pune on June 14, 2023, a sto has been scheduled at Hadapsar between 12:00 PM and 01:00 PM. Bus services have been arranged from Mahatma Gandhi Station to Pune Station, Warjemalwadi, Kothrud Depot, Nigdi, Chinchwad, Alandi, and other locations. Bus services from Shivarkar Garden to Katraj Kondhwa and for Mundhwa, Chandannagar, and Wagholi from Magarpatta have also been arranged.

Please note that the Diveghat road between Hadapsar and Saswad will be completely closed for traffic. However, the bus services will continue through an alternative route via Bopdev Ghat instead of Diveghat. PMPML plans to operate 60 additional buses from Swargate, Pune Station, and Hadapsar.
