Panchayat Season 5 Confirmed: Chandan Roy Promises A ‘Bigger, Better And More Beautiful’ Return To Phulera
The makers have officially confirmed Panchayat Season 5, with actor Chandan Roy hinting at a larger and more emotional chapter as fans eagerly await the return of Phulera’s beloved characters.
The wait for Panchayat Season 5 is officially underway. Following the dramatic and emotional events of Season 4, the makers have confirmed that the next chapter of the hit rural comedy-drama is in development and will continue the story of Phulera’s residents.
The popular series, starring Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy, has become one of India’s most loved web shows thanks to its simple storytelling, relatable characters and authentic portrayal of village life.
While an exact release date has not yet been announced, reports suggest that Season 5 is expected to arrive in 2026 on Prime Video. The new season was included in the platform’s upcoming content slate, confirming that the journey in Phulera is far from over.
Actor Chandan Roy, who plays fan-favourite character Vikas, recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming season. Reflecting on his journey in the series, he said audiences have connected deeply with Vikas because of his simplicity and honest emotions.
Speaking about the new season, Chandan avoided revealing major plot details but offered a brief teaser that has excited fans. Describing Season 5 in three words, he called it “Bada, Behtar Aur Khoobsurat” — meaning bigger, better and more beautiful.
He also explained why the show continues to resonate with viewers across the country. According to him, Panchayat’s strength lies in its realistic portrayal of rural India and its universal themes. The emotions, relationships and political struggles shown in Phulera are experiences that people can relate to regardless of where they live.
Season 4 ended with several major developments that left fans eager for answers. Sachiv Ji (Jitendra Kumar) cleared his CAT examination and began seriously considering a future beyond Phulera. At the same time, his relationship with Rinki finally moved forward, giving viewers one of the most-awaited moments in the series.
The village elections also changed the course of the story. Manju Devi’s defeat to Kranti Devi dramatically shifted the political landscape, while the fallout from the attack on Pradhan Ji left several questions unanswered.
Season 5 is expected to pick up directly from these events. The story will likely explore the future of Sachiv Ji and Rinki’s relationship, the new power dynamics in Phulera after the elections, and the mystery surrounding the attack on Pradhan Ji.
The upcoming season is expected to bring back the show’s familiar cast, including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar and Pankaj Jha. The series continues to be produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), with Chandan Kumar as writer and Deepak Kumar Mishra directing.
For fans of the series, Chandan Roy’s promise of a “bigger, better and more beautiful” season suggests that Phulera’s next chapter could be its most ambitious yet, blending humour, emotions and village politics in the way that has made Panchayat a nationwide favourite.
