Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar and Saiprasad Panchal to perform in Pune On Sept 3

Pune, August 29 : Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, the Maestro from the Mewati Gharana and an artist of International acclaim, and Saiprasad Panchal, a Hindustani Classical Vocalist and a disciple of Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar will be performing at this year’s SwaraVilas music festival. ‘SwaraVilas’ – an initiative of Vilas Javdekar will be held on 3 September at the MES Auditorium, Kothrud at 5 pm.

The program is open to all, and the free passes can be collected from Vilas Javdekar Developers offices at Kothrud and Sus from 25th August onwards between 11 – 5 pm.

Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar is a renowned and internationally acclaimed artist in the field of Hindustani Classical and Devotional Music. He has been the recipient of prestigious awards including the Kumar Gandharva National Award in 2008 by Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, the National Award for playback singing in 1998, the President Award and Top grade from All India Radio, etc.

Coming from a non-musical family background, Saiprasad Panchal initiated his Hindustani Classical Music training at the age of 11. He is a regular performer at various Baithaks and is a sought-after young artist. He has received many awards as a young promising artist which include Swarbhaav Yuva Shodhvtutti Puraskar 2023, Pandit Jasraj Scholarship in 2021, the Centre of Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), the Govt. of India Scholarship to name a few.
