Pune : Five people attack person with liquor bottles in Dehu Road restaurant; Probe On

Pune: A person was attacked brutally by 5 people at a restaurant on Dehu Road with liquor bottles, punches, kicks etc.
As per information from the FIR, on August 27 at 11 o’clock in the night, the victim had come for dinner with others at Savanna Hotel, Savannah Chowk, beside Aadhaar Hospital, Dehu Road, Pune. A scuffle broke out as one of the accused Suraj Pawar threatened the victim that he is a gangster and had escaped from MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act). He asked the victim since he was present on the premises how could the victim address another person called Rafiq as a gangster when he is there. As a result, he threatened the victim, took a bottle from the table and hit the victim on the right-hand side of the head. After that, the four other accused identified as Datta Katare, Sahil Raut, Raj Patil & Ketan Chavan also picked up liquor bottles and started hitting the victim on the head. As soon as the victim fell, Katare also beat up.
Dehu Road Police has registered a case under Sections 307, 143, 147, 504 & 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation of the case is underway.
