Parts Of Pimpri Chinchwad To Face Disruption In Water Supply On August 7-8
Pimpri-Chinchwad: Residents in Charholi, Moshi, Dudulgaon, Chovisawadi, Wadmukhwadi, Dehu-Alandi Road, Borhadewadi, Chakrapani Vasahat, Akshaynagar, and Indrayaninagar should anticipate water supply disruptions on August 7 and 8, 2024. The municipal corporation has announced that water will be available at low pressure during the morning hours.
The issue stems from a complete halt in the water supply to the Chikhali Water Treatment Plant due to a power outage at the impure water intake station, which began at midnight on August 7, 2024. Consequently, residents in the aforementioned areas will experience reduced water pressure in the mornings on both days. The Municipal Corporation advises citizens to conserve water during this period.
Given the current rainy season, there is an increased risk of waterborne diseases. To ensure safety, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is taking necessary measures to provide clean and safe water. Residents are also advised to filter and boil their drinking water as a precaution.
