Passengers give overwhelming response to PMPML’s bus arrangements on Rakshabandhan

Pune: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) had made arrangements of extra buses to PMRDA areas along with Pune, and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities on Raksha Bandhan.
As per information from PMPML, considering the increasing rush of passengers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, like every year for the convenience of passengers, PMPML, on August 30 and 31, 2023 ran 96 extra buses which were planned in addition to the 1837 scheduled buses and these buses were made available on congested routes. Passengers gave a good response to PMPML’s bus service on August 30 and 31.
The number of passengers and revenue received on August 30 and August 31 2023 is as follows:
· August 30, 2023 :
Ø Number of Buses Available – 1930
Ø Number of Passengers – 13,73,819
Ø Revenue Generated – Rs 1,95,27,384
· August 31, 2023 :
Ø Number of Buses Available – 1901
Ø Number of Passengers – 14,96,282
Ø Revenue Generated – Rs 2,16,44,853
On the occasion of the Raksha Bandhan festival, women passengers in particular took maximum advantage of PMPML’s bus services.
The PMPML is urging Punekars to keep taking advantage of everyday bus services & expects a similar response to all PMPML’s bus services.
