Patients of viral fever and dengue on the rise in Pune
Pune: The number of people falling ill increases due to temperature fluctuations in the rainy season. So, an increase is seen in the patients suffering from viral fever and dengue. As a result, there is a large number of people in private and government hospitals seeking treatment for the same. Although the municipal authorities are keeping a tab on Zika-affected patients, it appears that they should also monitor the people with viral fever and dengue symptoms.
It is worthy to note that from June starting, rains have lashed various parts of the city and have led to an increase in the number of patients suffering from viral diseases. It has been cloudy in Pune for the last fifteen days. In such an environment, the growth and spread of viruses and bacteria is very high.
Water is being accumulated in various places due to continuous rains in the city. Mosquitoes lay their eggs in such places. Due to this, the number of dengue patients has increased. As a result, a surge is seen in demand for platelets.
