Paytm removed from authorised banks for FASTag by NHAI
The National Highway Authority Of India (NHAI) has issued a list of 30 authorized banks for FASTag service.
It has removed Paytm Payments Bank from its list after it faced action from Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) over violation of rules and has imposed restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank by asking them to not to take any new customer and the services are to be terminated by 29th February, 2024.
The Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) which manages toll collection for NHAI has approached Paytm FASTag users to get fresh FASTag from one of the authorized Banks.

This can be done by online banking by selecting an authorised bank to issue FASTag.FASTag in total operated at around 750 toll plazas in the country where Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips are fixed on the windscreen of the vehicle for making toll payments directly while the car moves, making travelling faster and cashless.
The authorized Banks listed for FASTag services are
Airtel Payments Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Allahabad Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, City Union Bank, Cosmos Bank, Equitas Small Finance Bank, Federal Bank, Fink Payments Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Idfc Bank, Indian Bank, IndusInd Bank, J&K Bank, Karnataka Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Nagpur Nagarik Sahakari Bank, Punjab National Bank, Saraswat Bank, State Bank Of India, Thrissur District Cooperative Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank Of India and Yes Bank.Â
