On 16th February, fire broke out at Dapodi Metro station at 11:09 am. No casualties or injuries have been reported.

As per further information shared by PCMC Fire Department, when the personnel of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Fire Station went to the spot and inspected the incident, it was observed that the fire broke out due to heating of the cooling coil of the high-tension panel (DP) in Dapodi Metro Station. 

The fire was brought under control by the PCMC Fire officers wearing artificial breathing apparatus and using ABC and Co2 extinguishers at the place where work was hindered due to the heavy smoke.

No person was injured in the incident nor any casualties took place.

The fire was completely extinguished within an hour’s time i.e. by around 12 pm.
