PCMC razes 82,580 square feet of unauthorized constructions in Wakad

On 4th January (Thursday), the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) demolished several unauthorized constructions in many areas of Wakad.

As per further information from the PCMC, action was taken to evict the unauthorized constructions from Bhujbal Chowk, Madhuban Hotel to Jagtap Dairy Chowk Road, under PCMC D Ward Office in Ward No 25 and 26 in Wakad. In the said action, unauthorized brick constructions and paper sheds with a total area of approximately 82,580 square feet have been demolished.

The demolition action was carried out on the orders of PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh and under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Pradip Jambhale Patil and City Engineer Makarand Nikam under the supervision of Dr Ankush Jadhav, Ward Officer of ‘D’ Ward.

In this action, Executive Engineer of Construction Department Abasaheb Dhavle, Deputy Engineer Shantaram Kobal, Junior Engineer Sham Garje, Office Superintendent Arun Kumar Sonkusare, Beat Inspector Amol Shinde, Vaibhav Vitkari, Junior Engineer Encroachment Team of Municipal Corporation. It was done with the help of MSF Jawans – 28, Municipal Police – 16, Police – 6, Laborers – 20, Cranes – 2, Tempo – 1, Gas Cutter – 2 & other municipal employees and laborers.
