Phoenix Sports Academy swimmers wins medals in School State Swimming Championship 2022-2023
Kondhwa: A school State Swimming Championship 2022-2023 was held in Pune where three swimmers of Phoenix Sports Academy of Kondhwa-pool Veer Sawarkar won medals. The competitions were held between 2 and 5 February at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi.
Soham Amit Asija won 2 silver in 4 x 100 meters Freestyle Relay under 14 category, Maahi Bhupesh Guleria won silver in 100 meters Freestyle under 17 girls category whereas Varun Rajendra Chavan won 2 Gold in 50 meters Breaststroke and 100 meters Breaststroke and one silver in 50 meters Butterfly under 19 boys category. All these were trained by Head Coach Yashraj Tarkar of Phoenix Sports Academy.
Coach Yashraj Tarkar who guided these children and who has 17 years of experienve expressed, “I have been working as a coach at Phoenix Sports Academy of Kondhwa pool from 2014. And I have a passion for swimming therefore I chose to teach children. We participate in many swimming competitions and children perform their best in it.The school state-level swimming championships is the recent one, where three swimmers won medals. The competition had participants over 500 yet the children of the academy did splendid work.”
