Pimple Saudagar : Tree plantation drive held in Namrata Magic society

Residents of Namrata Magic held a tree plantation drive in their society. Since, the district administration had imposed restrictions on holding cultural activities during Ganeshutsav, the society did not celebrate the festival in a grand way. Instead, decided to hold a tree plantation drive wherein the society children were involved.

Rishiraj Kunjir from Namrata Magic said, “We did not keep any cultural activities. But Covid19 has taught us a big lesson of caring for our environment as well as ourselves. By planting trees we have taken the responsibility of both. Each sapling planted by the child is their responsibility to nurture it. Next year, the children will be awarded for their effort in keeping the plant at its best.”

Kunjir further said that the initiative saw great response from the society residents. Each sapling is given the child’s name, so that it becomes easy to identify. Namrata Magic society is located in Pimple Saudagar.
