Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissioner Inspects Durgadevi Hill, Reviews Sanitation and Health Services
Pimpri, March 18, 2026: Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi, Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, conducted a detailed inspection of Durgadevi Hill and various city sectors on Wednesday morning, reviewing sanitation and public health services. The Commissioner visited neighborhoods including Kudalwadi, Chikhli, Punawale, Talawade, Rupinagar, and Triveni Nagar to assess garbage management, street cleanliness, and the status of healthcare facilities provided to residents.
During the inspection of Durgadevi Hill, Dr. Suryavanshi checked the cleanliness, waste management, and condition of public amenities. He also examined public toilets, emphasizing regular cleaning, maintenance, and the provision of a clean and safe environment for citizens. As Durgadevi Hill is a popular spot for visitors and a landmark of the city, he instructed that sufficient facilities be available for the public. He also highlighted the importance of preserving the area’s diverse flora and tree species and interacted with local residents to understand their concerns.
The Commissioner also visited the water purification plant in Sector 23 to review water treatment processes and inspected the Yamunanagar Health Office in Nigdi to evaluate administrative work and daily attendance records. He instructed that all staff adhere strictly to punctuality and maintain high standards of service delivery without negligence.
The inspection team included Assistant Health Officer Mahesh Adhav, Chief Health Inspector Kanchankumar Indalkar, Health Inspector Ramchandra Shingade, Assistant Health Inspector Ravi Rokade, and Health Mukadam Mallikarjun Kurwar, among others.
Dr. Suryavanshi also reviewed ward-level operations, including the regularity of waste collection, presence of health teams, and implementation of cleanliness measures. He emphasized improving work quality based on feedback from staff and ensuring effective sanitation and public health services across the city.
