Pimpri Chinchwad : Lady traffic police officer caught accepting bribe in camera faces suspension

The recent video that went viral on social media, featuring a lady traffic Police official caught taking bribe was taken on a task by the senior officials from the Traffic division of Pimpri Chinchwad Police.

According to the information provided by ACP Shrikant Disale, Traffic Police head of Pimpri Chinchwad, the lady cop, whose identity has been asked to keep confidential, has been suspended with immediate order.

ACP Disale has also issued a warning to his staff and urged through Pune Pulse that such actions by the Police authorities will be dealt strictly without any further delay and excuses. ACP has also stressed that taking bribe is a bigger crime, but giving the bribe, too, is heinous crime that literally destroys the law and culture of Police department.

While talking to the Pune Pulse Disale said, “We will not step back when it comes to taking action against the culprits because taking bribe is strictly against the law. I strongly support collecting evidences against taking bribe, but most of the people also record footage even when they are fined legally by the Police.”

ACP has requested people to report any such incidents directly to him. A simple WhatsApp message will also be accepted and necessary action will be taken.
