Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Warns Citizens Against Fake Recruitment Messages
Pimpri, February 24, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has issued a public advisory cautioning citizens against fraudulent recruitment messages being circulated in its name on social media.
The administration department clarified that the civic body is currently not conducting any recruitment process for any post. However, misleading information claiming that multiple vacancies have been announced is being widely shared online. In some instances, fake appointment letters and fabricated candidate lists purportedly issued by the municipal corporation have also surfaced.
Officials stated that no official orders or notifications regarding recruitment have been released by the corporation so far. Complaints have been received about attempts to deceive job seekers through bogus advertisements and messages.
Appealing to the public to remain vigilant, the administration department urged citizens not to trust unverified information. Manoj Lonkar, Additional Commissioner of PCMC, said that all official updates regarding recruitment, if and when announced, will be published only on the corporation’s official website.
He advised applicants to verify any such claims directly through the official portal and avoid relying on information circulated through unofficial channels.
