Pimpri Chinchwad, March 10, 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police has launched a special public outreach initiative titled “Meet the Police Commissioner” to strengthen transparent and effective communication between citizens and senior police officials. The programme has received an encouraging response from residents.

The initiative allows citizens and visitors in the city to directly meet the Police Commissioner and other senior officers to present their complaints, suggestions and expectations. Notably, citizens do not need prior permission and can meet the commissioner during the scheduled time on the designated day.

The latest session of the programme was held on March 9, 2026, at Shivneri Hall in the office of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. A total of 76 citizens attended the event.

The meeting was attended by the Police Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and other senior officers. Assistant Commissioners and Senior Police Inspectors from various police stations also joined the session through video conferencing.

During the interaction, citizens raised several local issues, including traffic-related problems, and shared suggestions with the police authorities.

At the event, Parmeshwar Giram, the complainant in a house-breaking case registered at Dighi Police Station, felicitated the Police Commissioner for successfully recovering 100 percent of the stolen gold jewellery in his case. He also appreciated the police for their effective investigation.

Representatives from the Pimpri Chinchwad Orthopedic Doctors Association also attended the meeting, raised concerns related to their profession and expressed willingness to cooperate with the police.

Police officials said the “Meet the Police Commissioner” programme will now be held every Monday, and citizens, industrial representatives, women, senior citizens, students and visitors are encouraged to participate and share their concerns or suggestions directly with the police leadership.
