Pimpri-Chinchwad : Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Station has imposed naka bandhis at various police jurisdictions to ensure the safety and security of commuters on the roads. Under this initiative, every vehicle passing through the check-posts is being thoroughly checked by police constables and the respective Police Inspectors.

According to Police Inspector Rupali Bobade, who is in charge of the Pimpri Police Station, this initiative has been taken on the orders of senior officials to crack down on traffic rule violators. The police are particularly targeting those who drive under the influence of alcohol, break traffic signals, do not wear helmets, and do not use seat belts.

Speaking about the initiative, ACP Shrikant Disale said that this is a regular check conducted by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police under every police station. He added that every week, check-posts are placed at various locations to ensure that no wrongdoings are happening on the roads.

The police have been vigilant in ensuring that all two-wheeler drivers have valid licenses, and anyone found violating the rules is being caught and penalized. The Naka Bandhis have been installed at multiple locations to ensure that commuters cannot avoid them.
