Pimpri: Old PMPML bus turned into spinning high-pressure cleaning system
Cleaning Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited bus stops is now easy. A PMPML bench fitter has designed a machine from discarded items.
Babasaheb Mulani, a bench fitter working in Pimpri Depot of PMPML, has turned an old bus into a spinning high pressure cleaning system. It took him three days to device this and he has been receiving appreciations from different quarters.
Along with the able support of Pimpri Depot Manager Bhaskar Dahatonde and Depot DME Rajkumar Mane, Mulani assembled 1 HP motor, 2000 litres of water along with discarded items together, to make this mobile washing centre to clean bus stands in the city.
“I made the mobile washing centre from discarded items, and this has been possible only because of the support given by my team. The bus stops in the city would soon look clean and bright,” said Mulani.
“We just tried, and it has turned successful. This system can now be used for cleaning of buses and bus stops in the city,” said Mane, DME Pimpri Depot.
