Plane lands on taxi way instead of airport runway in Nagpur
A flying club training plane in Gondia, instead of landing at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, landed on the taxiway. Hence, there was a stir in the area. Fortunately, a major accident was averted due to safe landing.
As per further information, a woman pilot from the Indira Gandhi Flight Academy, Gondia, took off from the Birsi airport in Gondia. The plane was supposed to land at Nagpur airport and return to Gondia. The search began after the air traffic controller lost contact with the plane. It was then revealed that the plane landed at Multi-Modal International Hub Airport of Nagpur (MIHAN).
Officials of the Flying Club arrived in Nagpur. The plane took off towards Gondia. Due to safe landing, no casualties, injuries or any untoward incident was averted.
