An easterly wave, accompanied by a trough situated over the Southwest Bay of Bengal near the Tamil Nadu coast, is anticipated to result in heavy to very heavy rainfall across South Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Kerala & Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today. Additionally, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is expected over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the coming week.
Over the next five days, maximum temperatures in East India are projected to increase by 3-4°C, while Maharashtra and Telangana may see a rise of 2-4°C. Certain areas could experience heatwave conditions, particularly in isolated regions of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Southwest Rajasthan, and Rayalaseema, where temperatures may exceed 39°C.
Weather Forecast for Karnataka
This week, Coastal Karnataka is anticipated to face warm and humid weather. In contrast, South Interior Karnataka, which includes Bengaluru, may experience isolated thunderstorms and light rain from March 11 to 13.
