Plays on different themes to regale Pune audience as 5 day Children’s drama fest kicks off on April 17

Pune: In an effort to double the holiday joy for children, a Children’s Drama Festival has been organized in Pune from Monday, April 17 to Friday, April 21 at the Yashwantrao Chavan Theater in Kothrud. The festival, organized by ‘Samvad’ Pune and ‘Kawre Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd.,’ will feature five popular children’s plays including ‘Ekda Kya Jala?’, ‘Kavitane Gudgulya’, ‘Albatya Galbatya, ‘Minglish Medium,’ and ‘Dhabbu Dhol Remote Gol.’ The festival will kick off on Monday, April 17 at 1:00 pm with an inaugural event featuring esteemed guests.

The former president of Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, Bh. Laxmikant Deshmukh, will be the speaker at the inaugural event, and Kadu President and Kavre Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd.’s Chairman Rajusheth Kawre will be present as the chief guest. The event will also honor organizations such as Sanskar Kadra, Pune, Maharashtra Cultural Centre, Pune, Advaita Theatre, Mumbai, Rangbhasha, Pune, and Rainbow Umbrella Foundation, Pune for their contribution to the arts and culture.

The festival promises to be a treat for children as they will not only get to watch entertaining plays but also enjoy free ice cream from Kavere Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd. Sunil Mahajan, President of ‘Samvad’ Pune, and ‘Kavare Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd.’s Chairman Rajusheth Kavre expressed their excitement about the festival and the joy it would bring to children.

The plays will be performed every day at 1:00 pm from April 17 to April 21, providing an afternoon of fun and entertainment for children during their holiday break. The lineup of plays includes ‘Ekda Kya Jala?’, a humorous play about a mischievous boy, ‘Kavitane Gudgulya,’ a play that showcases the power of poetry, ‘Albatya Galbatya,’ a comedy-drama about a funny family, ‘Minglish Medium,’ a play that highlights the importance of English language, and ‘Dhabbu Dhol Remote Gol,’ a play revolving around a remote-controlled drum.
