PMC asks private hospitals to share info on oxygen stock ; makes audit of oxygen mandatory

After the heartbreaking incident which took place in a hospital yesterday in Nashik city where 24 people lost their lives due to leakage in oxygen pipe, civic administration has geared up to curb any such incident in the city. 

In order to stay prepared for any untoward incident in Pune, the Pune Municipal Corporation has asked all private hospitals to share the information on the stock of oxygen, its storage and supply to the civic authority.

Additional Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation Rubal Agarwal has asked all private hospitals in the city to share the details on the email ids created by the PMC – [email protected] and [email protected].

The private hospitals are asked to share the information such as current oxygen stock availability, oxygen storage system and all other important details related to oxygen supply. Also, the hospitals should conduct an audit from a third party organisation on the oxygen related issues.
