Pune: Pune Municipal Corporation on April 11 announced that the timings for the public gardens across the city have been extended by one hour, both in the morning as well as in the evening. The earlier timing was 6 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 8 pm.

The new timings are 6 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 9 pm.

PMC care official twitter handle shared a tweet stating – “We covered you in this scorching heat! In response to the huge demand from citizens, we’ve decided to extend the timings for gardens & aquarium in Sambhaji Garden on Jangli Maharaj road in PMC jurisdiction .”

“Most of the citizens wanted additional timings as people like to spend more time in the garden during summer season. We have not implemented any special restriction for people who are coming to the garden and guidelines remain the same as declared by the state government,” said Ashok Ghorpade, Garden Superintendent, Pune Municipal Corporation.

The Chhatrapati Sambhaji park aquarium timing has also been revised to 8 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 9 pm.

There are 210 gardens within the PMC limit.
