PMC extends helping hand to Kolhapur flood affected areas

Incessant rains caused havoc across Western Maharashtra last week. Even till today there are several villages which have no access. The most affected areas due to heavy rains, overflowing dams are Kolhapur, Chiplun, Sangli, Ratnagiri and Satara.

Pune Municipal Corporation on July 26, 2021 sent 17 empty tankers, water pumps, technicians, supervisors, electricians, and all other needed help by the Kolhapur municipal Corporation to Kolhapur.

Since, most of the water treatment and pumping plants were submerged under flood water they have been damaged. Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol stated that the KMC needed some help in removing the water from the water pumping station to be removed. As per the demand we are sending 17 empty water tankers, few electricians, supervisors and other machinery.

These civic men will stay there and shall help in all possible way to bring normalcy. A total of 21 people have reached safely in Kolhapur.
