PMC issues guidelines on home isolation for Covid19 patients

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has recently launched an android based application for  Home Isolated patients, called the PMC Home Isolation App, it has been set up for better monitoring of health status of Covid +ve Patients opting for home isolation. 

This application will give Covid positive citizens a direct access to communicate with the civic body about their daily health status and raise an alarm in case of any emergency.

How to register on the application ? 

Citizens need to download the app and Install PMC Home Isolation Google on Play Store.

The patients need to register and make sure that all permissions are allowed for the app to work successfully in real time.

What do you need to register on the application ? 

As per the guidelines the patients opting for this app should not change their phone settings and should mandatorily have internet connectivity for 17 days / until the end of the quarantine period. The application provides each user with App Help User Guide video in Hindi, Marathi and English.  

To enroll on this app, the patient needs to be at home location to start the enrolment procedure, whereupon all the details of the patient including the RTPCR should be entered.

What to do when you have multiple patients in the house ? 

In case there are several members in the family who are covid positive and are isolated at the same place, they would need to download the application separately on their personal phone. In case, there is only one device, the same phone can be used on the add button. 

How does this app work ?

This application will provide your daily health report on enrolment, whereupon you will get three forms automatically in the Orange colour for health report, for self Assessment, Medical Kit and Emergency and Medical Kit Forms. 

It is important for the patient to submit a Daily Self-Assessment form each day for 17 days of the quarantine period. 

Answer all the health parameter related questions correctly especially the symptoms, oxygen level and temperature in Fahrenheit (97 to 105). 

It is mandatory for a patient to be at home to fill a daily Self-Assessment form. 

Submission of daily self-assessment form is mandatory before 3 pm. In case a patient does not communicate, a call from PMC staff is initiated.

In case of emergency, the app also suggests to submit an Emergency form only if you need help from PMC. PMC staff will be alerted when you fill this form and shall arrange help.  

This app also displays the  numbers of important contacts, ward wise control center and ambulances.
