The residents of the area have been raising concerns regarding the safety and basic maintenance of the Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan as well as Savitribai Phule Multipurpose Hall.

For the last few months the name board of the multipurpose hall is missing while the security gate installed at the backside of the building has gone missing.
Even after the matter was raised with the concerned department the work has not yet started.

Rajendra Shingade, manager, Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan said, “We have informed the concerned department regarding the maintenance. Survey was conducted after we raise the complaints. Some work has been done while the few works such as installing new gate, name board shall take a weeks time to resolve.”

When Pune Pulse contacted Shivaji Lanke, superintending engineer, Building and construction department of Pune Municipal Corporation he assured of immediate action on the issue.

When Pune Pulse spoke to Kalinda Punde, local Corporator of the area, she said, “The light work on the name board was done recently. Other work such as mising name boards in the Savitribai Phule Multipurpose Hall, security gate and other work shall be done shortly.”
