Vedanta society in Wakad holds blood donation camp

Vedanta society in Wakad is a 344 flat society with 2200 residents. The society is known for taking initiatives for the betterment of the residents. They have now launched a mission under the theme GBTS (Giving Back to Society). Under this scheme, the first initiative was taken of organising a Blood Donation Camp. There has been news in the media highlighting shortage of blood at hospitals and blood banks in the city.

The blood camp was organised within the society premises. The initiative was taken in partnership with Serological Institute, Pimpri Chinchwad. The residents of the society came forward whole heartedly to support the noble cause.

Dr. Somnath Dhonde, Chairman, Vedanta CHS said that it is important that we do whatever it takes to contribute for the well being of the society.
