PMPML chief takes bus ride from Swargate to Katraj, reviews bus service
Pune: Om Prakash Bakoria, chairman and managing director (CMD) of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) on Wednesday took a PMPML bus ride from Swargate to Katraj and reviewed the bus service.
He bought a ticket from the conductor like other co-passengers. He said, “This is not my first ride. I used to take such rides to get to know more about our service. This ride was specifically meant to understand issues being faced at Katraj junction.’’
Bakoria further told that, there are many connecting roads coming at this particular spot hence there is need to restructure the junction.
When asked about the rash and negligent driving of PMPML buses by the driver, Bakoria said,” Yes, we have received many complaints about drivers driving PMPML buses in a harsh manner. However, we have instructed them and all our officers and depot manager will personally look into this matter.’’
He boarded the bus at Swargate to reach Katraj on Wednesday morning.The PMPML chief also interacted with his co-passengers. He assured passengers that PMPML will give them a safe and secure journey.
